The church put on a nice egg hunt for the kiddos the day before Easter. Their friends from Sunday School were all there and the sunflowers they planted that day are growing phenomenally.

Spring Break
Well, Spring Break was a staycation this year. Grandma Kathy and Gigi were here at the beginning of the week, following Jackie's shower and were happy to be staying put that Monday morning. A late March snowfall surprised us all on Monday but temps by the end of the week were spring-like. The kids did plenty of crafts, played on the swing, had their first picnic of the season, and found lots to do together!

Jackie's Bridal Shower
Yum!
Jackie, opening a memory box full of childhood trinkets along with a fun scrapbook of photos throughout the years.
Abby and Gigi finishing up their tea
On March 23 we celebrated Jackie's upcoming nuptials with a wedding shower held at the Mayflower Hotel for High Tea. The afternoon was very fancy and full of delicious tea and desserts. Abby loved drinking tea with the ladies and devoured every dessert we put in front of her. The bachelorette party followed later that evening with friends and family. It was a beautiful day!
Parent's Day at Dance Class
Abby and her beloved dance teacher Miss Angela. On the last day of dance class, just like last session, they open the room up to let parents come in and watch. The girls are so cute and so little and really want to do their best. Abby loved ballet and tap and we'll surely sign up for more classes in the fall.
Sibling Love
When I get up in the morning and find this happening in Alex's room, my heart melts just a little bit! He is so loving toward her and she looks up to him as her big brother. She never gets jealous of the time we spend helping Alex with homework or going to Alex's practices or Alex's meetings or Alex's recognition ceremonies. She is so proud to be his sister and I love that! They are good kids these two.
Shamrock Hunt
It is a little embarrassing to be writing posts in May about St. Patrick's Day, but I will eventually be current on this blog...
We hid shamrocks around the front and backyard on St. Patrick's Day morning for the kids to "hunt" at lunchtime. They loved it! We ate lots of green foods, drank green beverages and celebrated the way two young families would.
Wolf Badge Ceremony
By mid-March, Alex (and all of the boys in his den) had achieved all of the requirements for his Wolf Badge in Cub Scouts. Brad and Kevin organized a little ceremony for the scouts to congratulate them on recieving their wolf badge. It was a chilly night so hot cocoa and staying warm by the fire were essential. Starting over the summer, we will begin work on the Bear requirements. Alex is looking forward to a week of scout day camp again this June to practice a lot of the skills they learned last year, such as archery, bb's, fishing, etc.
