Arts and Crafts Time

Each day lately we've been trying to have some arts and crafts time, especially on no-nap days. Alex has such great tools to experiment with. His favorite thing however is cutting paper. He has a few pairs of "fancy" scissors and just asks to cut paper. Today he made a bib :)

Here's Alex coloring. Sometimes the easel works out better than the floor given his propensity to color on furniture and the carpet. We are supposed to have a beautiful weekend here so hopefully we'll take lots of fun photos!

When Brad was Alex's age he would do the same thing! He would stand and cut paper into little bits for a VERY LONG time. I was pregnant with Jackie just like Suzanne is pregnant with .....!

Alex has the right idea. Scissors and coloring on furniture are way more fun than boring old paper. ;-)

How cute. I like his two-handed cutting technique. :) At least he won't be like some of the kindergarteners that enter our school that can't cut or glue. He'll be a preschool prodigy at this rate.
